On March 16, 2001 several youths allegedly attacked two Muslims who were standing outside their mosque in Sparks. One Muslim had his arm broken. The other was more seriously injured and was in a critical condition in hospital after undergoing three operations. This and others are only a few documented incidents of barbarism in the West and are enough to prove that even years before the 9/11 attacks there existed a clear pattern of hate crimes and discrimination against Muslims the world over.
