As America wins so does humanity!

I mean wow, no no wait, I REALLY MEAN WOW! What do you do when you learn that Christmas or Eid has arrived early. At such wonderfully awfully humungous emotional moments I don’t cry. I am simply struck dumb, absa-fucken-lutely dumb. My eyes bulge to the size of my heart which by no means is small. And then that gentle tinkling music in my heart overwhelms all my sinews. And then I give in to the raw feeling of being the luckiest man on Earth. Hey folks, I am not joking. Not convinced? Consider this:
Since the inception of this race I have been struggling very hard to convince the Pakistani people through my columns, this website and of late my television shows, that the Americans are a wonderful nation indeed worth being a world leader. Unfortunately owing to my nation’s bitter encounters with the United States of America which have little to do with the American people and more to do with the US establishment. Then there was a huge infestation of rubbish generalizations about the Americans people. American people will not accept any colored man as their leader. Americans are fickle minded and short sighted, all they care about is their six packs and the girl on the street. On and on went this system of ludicrous lies about one of the finest people of the world. And frankly given the record of the past eight years such rubbish was difficult to negate. But while pondering on them I was reminded of the similar lies about the Pakistani people. We also had tolerated a dictator on the helm of the affairs for eight years. But the best thing about democracy is that it brings to the fore the best of the humanity. At a time when it seemed that the global dictatorship of pygmies was here to stay, my country revolted against the very oligarchy through absolutely peaceful and democratic means. It has not been easy. The vestiges of the dictatorship were hard to impeach and they have done every bit to wreck democracy, but how can people fail to distinguish between slavery and freedom, perpetual despair and the unyeilding hope. We are fighting and even our deaths won’t let democracy fade away. So it was a matter of immense pleasure and pride to see the American people rising up against such baseless allegations and the totalitarianism of the pygmies. Today you have vindicated our faith and trust in your leadership and humanity. Your presence was missed for long. Welcome back.
I did not have to endure the cultural pressures that Mr Obama had to but in a simple way I and countless like me share some of his experiences. Listening to his speeches I was wondering how long has it taken him to rise to the top. His story is an inspiring one and his rise has given us not only a wonderful leader but also an inspiring symbol of hope. I am sure that when such a leader leads the world, mortals like us will not be found wanting.
But here are some caveats. Change might have come to the US but the last eight years of crises have left behind a badly torn world gasping for change. Change and democracy should prevail in the rest of the world too. And as it happens the conservatives have been defeated but they are still in place and let us not underestimate their capacity to foment discord among the democrats and the democracies is immense. While they have a right to exist, it is our job to make ourselves immune to their corrosive effects. The time for change Mr President is ripe for you to take charge of the world left behind by the previous incompetent regime. We wish you luck and vow to stand with your every attempt to bring back global peace. Fe Aman Allah, Yevarekh Otkha Ha-Shem, May God Bless You. Amen.
