It is very unfortunate that we kill precious lives just like that. I wonder if we ever will learn the ‘art of war’. Those who say that ‘Everything is fair in love and war’ are certainly wrong, because Islam doesn’t preach such attitude. Not only that Islam clearly spelled the codes and ethics to fight the war about 1400 years back but displayed it as well during the ‘Ghazwas’. Search through (and thoroughly) the history of Islam, you will not find a single example of killing the innocents, elders and women, during the wars fought in the name of Islam. I wonder what sort of Islam our modern day’s religious fanatics are preaching.
General Mushtaq was a very humble, down to earth, peace loving and kind hearted man. He would always care for the poor and lower ranks. It is said that killing of one life is amount to killing of whole mankind, and very rightly it is said. One idiot and ignorant, not only bequeathed his life for the hell fuel but also deprived many, of the attention they could get from a peace loving angel. May Allah rest his soul in eternal peace. Ameen.
